They belong to the same Firodia family group, but they function as independent companies with different goals, products, and customer focus.

Both brands trace their roots to Kinetic Engineering Limited, founded in 1972. The Firodia family has built vehicles in India for over five decades. Today they apply that experience to electric mobility. While they share the same heritage, quality standards, and commitment to “Made in India,” they operate as distinct businesses.

Kinetic Green

Kinetic Green (full name: Kinetic Green Energy and Power Solutions Limited) is led by Ms. Sulajja Firodia Motwani. Its main purpose is to offer simple, low-cost electric vehicles for everyday use and small businesses.

The brand specialises in electric three-wheelers and entry-level two-wheelers. Key models include the Safar series (for passengers and cargo), E-Luna, E-Zulu, Zoom, and Flex. These vehicles are designed for practical daily needs ; whether for families, delivery work, or local transport. Kinetic Green focuses on making electric mobility accessible, reliable, and easy to maintain for a wide range of users.

Kinetic Watts & Volts

Kinetic Watts & Volts (commonly known as KWV) was established in 2022 as a dedicated subsidiary of the Kinetic group. Its single focus is to revive the iconic Kinetic scooter in a modern electric form.

The flagship product is the Kinetic DX, an electric scooter that combines classic styling with contemporary features and high-quality components. The brand targets customers who want a premium riding experience with strong emphasis on design, comfort, and build quality. Production uses advanced facilities and a high level of local manufacturing.

Why These Are Fundamentally Different Brands

The two brands maintain separate management, product development, manufacturing priorities, and market strategies. This clear separation allows each to serve its specific segment without overlap. The distinction is deliberate and helps avoid confusion in the growing electric vehicle market. They have different dealership network, and they don't share any of their products, atleast for now.

In summary, Kinetic Green and Kinetic Watts & Volts are not the same brand. They are two independent arms of the Kinetic family, each built for different needs within India’s electric mobility journey.
