TVS Motor Company has extended its lead dramatically, surpassing the 50,000 unit mark with a stellar 16.88% Month-over-Month (MoM) growth. Together with Bajaj Auto (+5.21%), the legacy duo is proving that extensive dealership networks and consumer trust play a critical role in scaling EV volumes.
Top-Tier Startups See Corrections
It was a challenging month for the major pure-play EV brands. Ather Energy, while maintaining a comfortable third place, saw a 5.41% drop to 28,453 units. Ola Electric faced a steeper decline of 13.61%, falling under the 13k mark. Greaves Electric also dipped by 8.33%, indicating broader recalibration among early movers.
The Mid-Tier Expansion
The most explosive growth in July came from challengers further down the leaderboard. River Mobility (+33.44%), BGauss (+38.24%), and Revolt (+42.96%) all posted highly aggressive MoM gains. Ultraviolette also notably expanded by 42.44%, showcasing growing appetite in the premium performance tier.
