The Top Contenders: Legacy Brands Dominate
The top of the leaderboard for June 2026 shows legacy automakers firmly cementing their dominance in the EV space, while early EV pioneers maintain a strong foothold.
TVS Motor Company leads the pack, crossing the 47k mark with 47,006 units sold in June, a solid jump from 43,032 in May.
Bajaj Auto is breathing down TVS's neck, securing the second spot with 43,234 units. The traditional ICE giants have clearly figured out the EV equation and are scaling massively.
Ather Energy holds a very strong third place, registering 31,188 units.
Hero MotoCorp and Ola Electric round out the top five, pulling in 21,812 and 16,144 units respectively.
Mid-Tier Movers and Emerging Disruptors
The mid-tier segment is where the battle for market share is getting incredibly fierce. Greaves Electric Mobility saw a very healthy leap from 7,702 units in May to over 10,928 units in June. River Mobility and BGauss also showed respectable growth, securing their positions in the top 10.
Perhaps the most interesting story comes from the lower-volume high-growth players. Brands like E-Sprinto Green Energy and Quantum Energy saw near 100% month-over-month growth. E-Sprinto jumped from 955 to 1,878 units, while Quantum surged from 554 to 1,062 units, indicating aggressive expansion or successful new product launches in June.
