After months of swirling rumors and endless speculation, Rockstar Games has finally put the debate to rest. The company has officially confirmed the pricing for Grand Theft Auto 6, along with key pre-order and launch details that fans have been eagerly waiting for. The industry standard of $70 has officially been broken. Rockstar confirmed the standard edition of GTA 6 will cost $79.99.

For the die-hard fans wanting extra goodies, the Ultimate Edition is priced at $99.99. This premium tier comes packed with exclusive weapons, special apparel, premium vehicles, and other unannounced in-game content.

If you're ready to secure your copy, pre-orders go live across all platforms at midnight on June 25, 2026.

To ensure everyone is ready the second the game drops, Rockstar has a solid rollout plan. The game officially launches worldwide on November 19, 2026.

However, digital buyers don't have to wait that long to start their download. You can start pre-loading the massive file a full week early, beginning on November 12.

There is a massive twist for physical media collectors, though. Physical copies of the game will also hit store shelves on November 12, allowing boxed-copy buyers to pre-load right alongside digital players.

But when you open that physical box, you won't find a disc. Rockstar confirmed that boxed copies will only include a platform-specific download code inside.

While the death of the disc and the $80 price tag mark a massive shift for the gaming industry, the hype for a return to Vice City is clearly hotter than ever.
