Jawa 42 All Stars Launched in India With New Design and Wider Tyres

Jawa has launched the updated 42 All Stars in India with prices ranging from ₹1,84,942 to ₹1,89,942 (ex-showroom, Delhi). While the motorcycle retains its familiar retro-modern styling, it receives several design and mechanical updates aimed at improving its appearance, comfort and handling.

The updated Jawa 42 features shorter front and rear fenders, redesigned side panels with new graphics, a circular headlamp with a domed lens and newly designed wheels. Its seat is slimmer, with revised foam thickness and firmness for improved long-distance comfort. The twin exhausts are now upswept, giving the motorcycle a sportier look. It is available in five new colours: All Stars Nebula Blue, Moss Grey, Battle Green, Ivory and Black.

Power continues to come from the same 294.7cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine, producing 27.2PS and 26.3Nm. The motor is paired with a six-speed gearbox and an assist and slipper clutch. Jawa has also made changes to the chassis and swingarm stiffness to enhance handling.

The motorcycle uses telescopic front forks and twin gas-charged rear shock absorbers. It rides on an 18-inch front wheel and a 17-inch rear wheel, now fitted with wider 100-section front and 150-section rear tyres. Braking is handled by a 280mm front disc and a 240mm rear disc, with dual-channel ABS offered as standard. The bike has a 795mm seat height, a 13.2-litre fuel tank and a kerb weight of 175kg, making it nearly 9kg lighter than before.

Feature highlights include LED lighting, a digital-analogue instrument console and dual-channel ABS. The Jawa 42 All Stars will compete with motorcycles such as the Honda H’ness CB350 and Royal Enfield Hunter 350. With its refreshed styling, new colours, wider tyres and revised underpinnings, the updated 42 aims to offer a more modern riding experience without losing its classic character.
