Nothing Cancels the CMF Phone 3 Pro: Here’s Why
CMF Phone 2 Pro

Fans looking forward to the next ultra-budget smartphone from Nothing's sub-brand will have to temper their expectations. According to a recent announcement by Nothing co-founder Akis Evangelidis, the highly anticipated CMF Phone 3 Pro has been officially canceled for this year. Originally expected to launch in the third quarter between August and September, the device has been shelved due to a major industry hurdle: surging memory prices.

Because the CMF lineup focuses on delivering extreme value on a budget, skyrocketing component costs hit it the hardest. Evangelidis explained that the company simply couldn't build a device that felt like a "genuine step forward" while keeping it at a price point that makes sense for the CMF brand. Rather than releasing a compromised device or hiking up the price, Nothing made the tough call to scrap the phone entirely for 2026.

However, it isn't all bad news for tech enthusiasts. While there won't be a new CMF phone this year, Evangelidis confirmed that the sub-brand is still preparing to launch "several new products," including entries into completely new hardware categories. Furthermore, he teased that a mainline Nothing smartphone is just around the corner—leaving fans to speculate if the highly anticipated Nothing Phone (4) is finally on its way.
