Audi A6 e-tron Sets Guinness World Record with 1,338 km Range

Miko Marczyk, the reigning European Rally Champion, has achieved an extraordinary Guinness World Record by driving an Audi A6 Sportback e-tron performance for 1,338 kilometers on a single battery charge. The journey was completed with an energy consumption of only 7.09 kWh per 100 kilometers, highlighting the impressive efficiency of Audi’s electric technology.

The record attempt began at 1:55 a.m. on September 11 in Poland. Marczyk drove through several major cities, including Krakow, Sandomierz, Warsaw, Toruń and Grudziądz, before reaching Hel on the Baltic Sea. He then followed the same route back. The drive took place in regular traffic, including busy rush-hour periods, while temperatures averaged around 15 degrees Celsius and dropped as low as seven degrees in the early morning.

The Audi A6 Sportback e-tron performance is powered by a 94.9 kWh net battery and features an advanced 800-volt electrical system. Its highly aerodynamic design, with a drag coefficient of just 0.21, helps reduce energy consumption, while regenerative braking recovers energy whenever the car slows down. The model also offers a WLTP range of up to 777 kilometers.

Marczyk’s careful driving played an important role in achieving the record. He maintained a smooth pace, anticipated road conditions, used regenerative braking effectively and ensured the tires were correctly inflated. His achievement demonstrates how thoughtful driving, advanced engineering and aerodynamic efficiency can significantly extend the range of an electric vehicle. The record-setting journey has established the Audi A6 Sportback e-tron as a strong example of the possibilities of modern electric mobility.
