If you love the rugged durability of a G-Shock but prefer a clean, minimalist aesthetic, Casio’s latest US release is right up your alley. Freshly launched stateside after a debut in Japan, the new Luxe Black G-Shock 2100 collection strips away the notoriously busy dials of traditional models. Instead, these watches feature a sleek, all-black matte finish and a textured dial designed to absorb light. To keep the time readable against the stealthy background, Casio thinned out the hands and added metallic hour markers in either silver or gold.

The collection is split into two distinct tiers to fit your style and budget. For an ultra-lightweight everyday option, the GA-2100LXB models ($145) use Casio's Carbon Core Guard structure with a bio-based resin bezel and band, weighing in at just 51 grams. If you prefer a watch with a bit more heft, the metal-clad GM-2100LXB versions ($260) swap the resin bezel for black ion-plated stainless steel, bringing the weight up to a substantial 72 grams.

Under the hood, all four models share the exact same classic G-Shock DNA. While you won't find smart features, Bluetooth, or solar charging here, you get all the tried-and-true digital essentials. Powered by dual batteries expected to last about three years, the watches feature 200 meters of water resistance, world time across 31 zones, a double LED light system, and the legendary shock resistance the brand is known for. All four models are available right now on Casio's website.
