The Galactic Empire is striking back at the watch world. Citizen has expanded its long-running Star Wars collection with a dramatic new timepiece called the Imperial Battle (AW1857-57W).

Priced at $525, this 42 mm watch leans heavily into dark side aesthetics. The design puts a swarm of TIE Fighter silhouettes front and center against a striking red and black metal dial textured to look like the Death Star. The Galactic Empire crest proudly sits at the 12 o’clock position and is etched onto the caseback. Even the watch's physical shape pays homage to the franchise—the hexagonal, gray ion-plated stainless steel case is a deliberate nod to the angular wing geometry of a TIE Fighter.

Underneath the hood, the watch is built for everyday durability. It is powered by Citizen’s signature light-driven J810 Eco-Drive caliber movement, removing the need for battery replacements. The dramatic dial sits safely behind scratch-resistant sapphire crystal and boasts a WR100 water resistance rating, making it perfectly safe for swimming. It features a clean three-hand display, a date window, and a sleek stainless steel bracelet equipped with a push-button fold-over clasp.

While Citizen has dropped strictly limited-edition Star Wars models in the past, no capped production run has been confirmed for the Imperial Battle edition yet. The watch is currently available directly through Citizen's official website.
