  • Dodge Charger returns to Europe with electric Daytona and 3.0-litre twin-turbo SIXPACK models.

  • Both offer standard all-wheel drive, bold styling and high-performance driving dynamics.

  • Buyers can choose up to 670-hp electric power or 550-hp twin-turbo petrol performance.

The Dodge Charger is entering a new chapter in Europe with a lineup that combines traditional muscle-car performance with modern electric power. Returning during its 60th anniversary year, the next-generation Charger is available as the all-electric Dodge Charger Daytona and the petrol-powered SIXPACK model. Both versions retain the Charger’s bold styling, wide stance and performance-focused character, while giving buyers a choice between two different driving experiences.

The electric Charger Daytona uses a 400-volt system with dual electric drive modules and standard all-wheel drive. The Daytona R/T produces up to 536 horsepower and 584 Nm of torque, while the Daytona Scat Pack delivers up to 670 horsepower and 850 Nm. The Scat Pack can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 3.3 seconds. Both versions use a 100.5 kWh battery, and the battery can charge from 20 to 80 percent in approximately 27 minutes when connected to a suitable DC fast charger.

For drivers who prefer the sound and character of an internal-combustion engine, the SIXPACK-powered Charger is equipped with a 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged inline-six engine. The Charger R/T produces 420 horsepower and 634 Nm of torque, while the Scat Pack produces 550 horsepower and 720 Nm. Both models use an eight-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive, with an on-demand rear-wheel-drive mode available for a more traditional muscle-car experience. The Scat Pack can reach 60 mph in 3.9 seconds, while the R/T does it in 4.6 seconds.

The Charger is also designed to be practical for everyday driving. It is available as a two-door coupe or a four-door model with seating for up to five people. The car measures approximately 5.25 metres in length, 2.03 metres in width and 1.50 metres in height. Its 3.08-metre wheelbase helps create a spacious cabin, while maximum cargo capacity reaches up to 1,059 litres. Other specifications include multi-link suspension, four-wheel disc brakes and 20-inch wheels.

Inside, the new Charger combines performance-inspired styling with modern technology. Depending on the version, features include Uconnect 5, navigation, digital displays, wireless phone connectivity, adaptive cruise control, heated seats, dual-zone climate control and a premium audio system. Safety equipment includes blind-spot monitoring, forward collision warning, advanced brake assist, electronic stability control and parking sensors.

In Europe, pricing for the new Dodge Charger starts at €66,000, although the final price depends on the country, body style, trim level and selected equipment. Customers can choose between R/T and Scat Pack versions of both the Daytona and SIXPACK models. With its electric and petrol powertrains, the new Charger gives buyers two different ways to enjoy the same unmistakable Dodge performance spirit.
