Kinetic DX Electric Scooter Gets New Long-Range Variants in India

Kinetic has expanded its DX electric scooter lineup in India with the introduction of two new, larger-battery variants: the DX 3 kWh and the DX+ 3.1 kWh. Designed for buyers who prioritize range and everyday usability, these new additions will be sold alongside the existing 2.6 kWh models, offering customers a total of four options to choose from. While the retro-inspired metal body and classic design remain untouched, the core upgrades lie beneath the surface.

The highlight of the launch is the new DX+ 3.1 kWh, which upgrades from the previous 2.6 kWh LFP battery to deliver a significantly improved claimed IDC range of 132 km. However, this boost in range comes at the cost of some performance; the peak motor output has dropped from 4.78 kW to 3.8 kW, and the "Turbo" riding mode has been removed, leaving just "Range" and "Power" modes. The standard DX also receives a battery bump to a 3.0 kWh unit, though its official peak power and range figures are yet to be revealed.

Despite the powertrain tweaks, both new variants retain the practicality and features that made the original DX popular. Riders still get an impressive 37 liters of under-seat storage, 12-inch wheels, front disc brakes, and convenience features like Easy Charge, regenerative braking, and Park Assist with Reverse.
