As the Indian automotive market continues its rapid shift toward greener mobility, JSW MG Motor India has just dropped a major announcement that aims to give buyers more choices than ever before. MG has officially pulled the wraps off its new ADAPT platform—a highly versatile architecture that will serve as the foundation for its upcoming lineup of New Energy Vehicles (NEVs).

What is the ADAPT Platform?

ADAPT stands for Advance Drive Architecture Platform Technology. Unlike traditional platforms that are restricted to a single type of powertrain, ADAPT is a modular Multi-NEV platform. This means it is designed to seamlessly support:

EVs (Battery Electric Vehicles)
HEVs (Hybrid Electric Vehicles)
PHEVs (Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles)
REEVs (Range Extender Electric Vehicles)

Four Intelligent Drive Modes

To maximize fuel efficiency and performance in real time, ADAPT’s intelligent energy management system continuously analyzes driving conditions and automatically shifts between four distinct modes:

Pure Electric Drive: Silent and responsive for city commutes.
Series Hybrid Drive: The engine acts as a generator to create electricity while the electric motor exclusively drives the wheels.
Parallel Hybrid Drive: The engine and motor team up for maximum performance.
