Seiko has officially released the HBC011J, a limited-edition iteration of its Prospex 1965 Heritage Diver. The dial color and design were determined by a global fan vote held in July 2025, where participants selected from four distinct seascape concepts. The winning "Daytime Blue" variant is now available for preorder. The total global production run is capped at 4,500 pieces, with 2,000 of those specifically allocated to the Japanese market.

The watch is built around a 40mm stainless steel case with a thickness of 13mm and a lug-to-lug distance of 46.4mm. The exterior features Seiko's DiaShield super-hard coating for added scratch resistance. It is equipped with a curved sapphire crystal that includes an internal anti-reflective coating to reduce glare. A screw-down crown and a solid screw caseback maintain the structural integrity of the case.

Powering the HBC011J is the Seiko Caliber 6R55, an in-house mechanical automatic movement that also supports manual winding. Operating at a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour (3Hz) and utilizing 24 jewels, the movement provides a 72-hour power reserve, allowing the watch to run for three consecutive days when fully wound.

The dial features an embossed turquoise wave pattern that references the tsunami mark found on Seiko diver casebacks since 1975. The dial is fitted with applied hour markers, and the hands, indices, and the matching blue unidirectional rotating bezel insert are coated with Lumibrite for low-light visibility. A circular date window is positioned between four and five o'clock. Water resistance is rated at 300 meters, meeting the baseline specifications for saturation diving.

For the bracelet, Seiko utilizes stainless steel treated with the same super-hard coating as the case. It secures to the wrist using a one-push double-lock diver adjuster clasp, designed to accommodate wrist sizes up to 195mm.

The HBC011J is priced at ¥199,100 in the Japanese market and €1,500 in European markets, where it is sold under the reference number HBC011J1. Deliveries are scheduled to begin on October 9, 2026, in Japan, and early October in international regions.
