Timex Adds the Expedition Field Post Titanium 41mm Automatic to Its Lineup

Timex has added a new mechanical option to its outdoor collection with the launch of the Expedition Field Post Titanium Automatic (reference TW2Y90900).

The watch is built around a 41mm case constructed from titanium and treated with a black IP coating. The case measures 13.5mm in thickness and has a lug-to-lug distance of 50mm. Titanium provides a high strength-to-weight ratio, keeping the watch lighter on the wrist than an equivalent stainless steel model. The case architecture is also built to be shock-resistant.

Inside, the watch runs on a 21-jewel automatic movement capable of hand-winding. The caliber provides a power reserve of up to 40 hours and winds itself through the natural motion of the wearer's wrist, operating entirely without a battery. The movement can be viewed through an exhibition window on the screw-down caseback.

The textured black dial features full Arabic numerals and a date complication positioned at 3 o'clock. For low-light visibility, Timex applied Super-LumiNova in-fill to both the hands and the hour markers. The dial is protected by a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal equipped with an anti-reflective coating. A screw-down crown helps secure the case, which carries a water resistance rating of 200 meters (20 ATM).

Timex paired the watch with a 20mm brown leather strap secured by a classic pin buckle. The strap utilizes leather sourced from suppliers associated with the Leather Working Group (LWG), focusing on reduced environmental impact during production. It also features quick-release spring bars for tool-free strap changes.
