Seiko has officially unveiled the HDB010, a striking new limited-edition addition to its 5 Sports Field series. This unique timepiece is born from a special collaboration with Honda, celebrating the iconic ultra-compact MOTOCOMPO motorcycle released in 1981.

The watch perfectly captures the retro-futuristic spirit of the original 49cc two-stroke scooter. Built around a compact 36.4mm stainless steel case with a sleek black hard coating, it echoes the MOTOCOMPO's famously lightweight and portable design.
The dial makes an immediate statement with the signature striking yellow color of the classic recreational motorcycle. A black section cuts across the center, emblazoned with the HONDA logo, while the "AUTOMATIC" lettering at 6 o'clock utilizes a special font directly inspired by the original MOTOCOMPO badging.
Every detail of the HDB010 pays homage to the 1981 six-wheeled lifestyle icon. The crown is engraved with the word "TURN," taking its design cue directly from the scooter's unique fuel cock mechanism.
Powering the HDB010 is the reliable Calibre 4R36 mechanical automatic movement. This caliber features manual winding capabilities, 24 jewels, a day/date display, and an approximate power reserve of 41 hours.
Durability remains a core focus for the 5 Sports line. The watch features a curved Hardlex crystal, LumiBrite on the hands and indices for exceptional low-light visibility, and a 10-bar water resistance rating suitable for daily wear.
The nylon strap incorporates clever nods to the motorcycle's unique car-loading capability. Part of the strap bears the inscription "CARRYING POINT," while the tip is marked "INSERTION POINT," directly inspired by the tie-down straps used to secure the folded scooter in a car trunk.

Limited to just 8,000 pieces worldwide, the HDB010 features a see-through screw case back marked with the MOTOCOMPO silhouette and a unique serial number. Priced at £340.00, it even arrives in a special box designed to mimic the corrugated cardboard originally used to ship the motorcycle.
