Seiko Expands Its Astron Lineup with the Limited Edition HAB011J1

Seiko has announced the release of the Astron HAB011J1, a limited-edition model marking the company’s 145th anniversary. Production is restricted to 2,000 pieces globally, with a scheduled release in October 2026.

The watch features a 43.3mm titanium case paired with a ceramic and titanium bezel. The case measures 13.4mm in thickness, with a lug-to-lug distance of 49.5mm and a 14mm distance between the lugs. The case is designed to protect against nickel allergic reactions. A dual-curved sapphire crystal, treated with a super-clear coating, protects the dial.

The dial is finished in "Edo purple" and incorporates a horizontal pattern with varying widths between the upper and lower sections, paired with a gradient effect. Gold-colored accents are utilized on the dial elements, and the hands and indices are treated with LumiBrite for visibility.

The HAB011J1 is powered by the Caliber 5X83 GPS Solar movement. It operates with a precision of ±15 seconds per month when not receiving a GPS signal (at temperatures between 5°C and 35°C). The power reserve lasts approximately six months on a full charge and extends up to two years when in power save mode. Features include a 1/20 second chronograph measuring up to 12 hours, a perpetual calendar programmed to February 28, 2100, world time functionality for 38 cities, and a dual-time display. It also includes automatic hand position alignment and a time transfer function for switching between the main dial and the sub-dial.

The titanium bracelet features a mirror-finished center row and is secured by an easy-adjust three-fold clasp with a push-button release. The case back is screwed down and engraved with "LIMITED EDITION". The watch carries a water resistance rating of 10 bar and a magnetic resistance of 4,800 A/m.
