The Indian electric two-wheeler space is buzzing with fresh energy, and the latest scoop brings a massive international twist! Design drawings of the upcoming Zero Lompico—a highly anticipated electric motorcycle from California-based Zero Motorcycles—have just surfaced online. But here is the real kicker for us: this futuristic EV has a rock-solid Indian connection. It shares its entire core mechanical DNA with the Hero Vida VxZ concept that Hero MotoCorp first showcased at EICMA 2025.

Don't let the wildly different looks fool you; underneath the skin, these two bikes are practically twins. The leaked drawings confirm that both motorcycles are built on the exact same platform. We’re talking about the same tubular steel frame, suspension setup, wheels, and braking hardware. Powering these electric beasts is a punchy 30kW (roughly 40hp) Z-Force 75-5 electric motor, juiced up by a brand-new 8.8kWh battery pack. For the Indian rider, this translates to some serious electric grunt that will easily handle both city overtakes and weekend highway runs.

While they share the same heart, their styling is absolutely chalk and cheese. The Hero Vida VxZ keeps things relatively grounded with a clean, conventional roadster vibe that traditional Indian buyers usually gravitate towards. On the flip side, the Zero Lompico is out there turning heads with a razor-sharp, futuristic identity. The sketches reveal aggressive bodywork, a slim and angular tank section, and a standout headlight tucked neatly between winglet-inspired panels.

Here is the best part for the Indian market: there is a very high chance both of these performance EVs will be manufactured right here in India! Hero has already filed design patents for the Vida VxZ on our shores, hinting heavily that a domestic launch is on the cards. By sharing a production line at an Indian facility, both brands can keep manufacturing costs in check, potentially bringing us a premium, world-class electric motorcycle at a much more aggressive price point.
