Timex has officially launched the Marlin Jet Titanium Automatic GMT, breathing new life into its beloved 1960s space-age silhouette. Priced at $549, this 40mm timepiece introduces two major structural and functional upgrades: a highly durable, lightweight brushed titanium case and a battery-free automatic GMT movement. The transition to titanium makes the watch noticeably lighter and more comfortable for daily wear than traditional stainless steel, while the new movement allows wearers to effortlessly track a second time zone using a distinctive red-and-white triangle GMT hand.

At the heart of the design is the signature domed Hesalite crystal, a scratch-resistant acrylic that flows seamlessly over the grooved bezel and blends right into the flat case sides. This uninterrupted, sculptural form is mirrored on the back of the watch, where an exhibition case back reveals the motion-powered mechanics inside. A sleek grey concave dial with an integrated date window at 3 o'clock provides depth without cluttering the display.

Completing the aesthetic is a natural leather strap sourced through the Leather Working Group (LWG). Equipped with quick-release spring bars, the strap allows for easy, tool-free swapping to match any occasion. By combining mid-century optimism with modern materials and practical functionality, the Marlin Jet Titanium Automatic GMT successfully bridges the gap between heritage design and everyday versatility.
