Timex Releases the 1990 Moon Phase and Calendar Dial Reissue

Timex has launched the 1990 Moon Phase and Calendar Dial Reissue (TW2Y99000). This model is a direct reissue of a 1990 design that integrates a day, date, and lunar cycle display into a single quartz watch.

The watch features a polished gold-tone stainless steel case measuring 37mm in diameter. The case has a height of 10mm, a lug-to-lug distance of 42.5mm, and a total weight of 44.89 grams. It includes a tiered bezel and utilizes a standard crown system. The stainless steel used is rated as hypoallergenic and resistant to rust and corrosion.

The dial is white and displays full Arabic numerals. It features two outer rings that display the monthly calendar, which are separated from the Arabic numerals by a printed rail track with metallic markers positioned at each hour. The upper center of the dial houses a moon phase indicator window, while a dedicated date window is positioned at the 6 o'clock marker.

This model is powered by a quartz movement operating on an SR920SW battery. The dial is protected by a flat mineral glass crystal. Water resistance is rated at 50 meters (5 ATM / 164 ft), indicating it can withstand light swimming but is not rated for diving.

For the strap, Timex uses an 18mm dark brown crocodile-grain natural leather band. The leather is supplied by Leather Working Group (LWG) certified sources. The strap secures with a standard buckle clasp and features quick-release spring bars for tool-free strap changes.
