BYD Sealion 7 Festive Edition Launched at ₹50.60 Lakh

BYD India has introduced the new Sealion 7 Festive Edition in the country at an ex-showroom price of ₹50.60 lakh. Limited to only 150 units, this special edition is based on the Premium variant and carries a ₹50,000 premium over the standard model. Its limited production makes it a more exclusive version of BYD’s premium electric SUV.

The biggest change in the Festive Edition is its new tan-and-black interior theme. This gives the cabin a more distinctive and premium appearance compared to the standard model’s all-black or Tahiti Blue interior options. The SUV continues to feature a spacious cabin with leather seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and a range of comfort-focused features.

The equipment list includes 19-inch alloy wheels, a head-up display, a hands-free powered tailgate and a memory function for the driver’s seat. It also gets auto-tilting outside rear-view mirrors with memory function, ambient lighting and a 12-speaker audio system. Other highlights include a panoramic sunroof, a 15.6-inch rotating touchscreen infotainment system and 11 airbags.

Mechanically, the BYD Sealion 7 Festive Edition remains unchanged. It uses an 82.56kWh battery pack paired with a single electric motor that produces 308bhp and 380Nm of torque. The electric SUV comes with rear-wheel drive and can accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in 6.7 seconds. BYD claims a range of 567km on a single charge under the NEDC test cycle.  

The official BYD Sealion 7 also offers features such as advanced safety technology, connected equipment and multiple charging options. However, the actual driving range can vary depending on factors such as driving style, traffic, weather conditions and vehicle load. BYD lists the Premium variant at ₹49.90 lakh, making the Festive Edition’s additional cost mainly applicable to its exclusive interior treatment.
