New-Generation BYD Tang to Debut with Advanced “Giant Screen” Interface

BYD is preparing to launch the new-generation Tang SUV, also known as the third-generation Tang, in the fourth quarter of 2026. The model will be positioned as a large five-seat technology-focused flagship SUV and will join the existing Tang L in BYD’s premium SUV lineup.
One of the biggest highlights of the new Tang will be its newly developed “Giant Screen” user interface. The system will allow drivers to freely arrange different functions and resize information windows according to their preferences. It will also feature an AI companion called “Little Bread,” which can respond to voice commands, greet passengers and provide an interactive experience.
The cabin will receive an integrated screen layout, along with a slim digital display positioned below the windshield. This screen is expected to show information such as media controls, weather updates, vehicle inclination and driving modes. Buyers will reportedly be able to choose between Dune Beige and Amber Brown interior themes.
The new Tang will feature a bold exterior inspired by the larger Tang design. Its dimensions are expected to measure 5,045 mm in length, 1,980 mm in width and 1,760 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,950 mm. The vehicle will initially be offered with a single electric motor producing up to 300 kW.
Depending on the battery pack, it could deliver a CLTC driving range of 730 km, 830 km or 850 km.
The SUV is also expected to come standard with BYD’s DiPilot “God’s Eye” B intelligent driving system. A smart air suspension system with dual-chamber air springs and road-surface preview technology may also be available, making the new Tang one of BYD’s most technologically advanced SUVs yet.
