Citizen Expands Its Promaster Lineup with the Limited-Edition Tsuno Chrono Racer

Citizen has released the Promaster Tsuno Chrono Racer AV0104-06W, an Eco-Drive 50th Anniversary Limited Edition model. The watch utilizes a bullhead configuration, placing the chronograph pushers at the top of the case rather than the side, a layout originally introduced on the brand's 1973 racing chronographs.

The AV0104-06W features a 44.5mm stainless steel case with a thickness of 15.3mm. It incorporates partial yellow-gold colored plating for a two-tone exterior and is fitted with a spherical sapphire crystal over the dial.

The dark green dial is contrasted with black sub-dials and gold-tone accents. The layout includes four sub-registers: a chronograph minute counter at 12 o'clock, a chronograph hour totalizer at 6 o'clock, running seconds at 3 o'clock, and a power reserve indicator on the left side. A framed date window sits between 1 and 2 o'clock, and an alarm on/off indicator is located near 4:30. The hands and indices feature luminous material for visibility in low light.

Internally, the watch is powered by Citizen's Caliber E210 Eco-Drive movement. This hand-assembled movement converts natural and artificial light into electrical energy, operating for approximately eight months on a full charge. It features a 1/5-second flyback chronograph capable of measuring up to 12 hours, an alarm function, and carries an accuracy rating of ±15 seconds per month.

The watch is secured with a dark brown leather strap equipped with a push-button deployant clasp. Water resistance is rated at 200 meters (20 ATM / 666 ft), making it suitable for swimming, showering, and snorkeling.

Production for the AV0104-06W is restricted to 5,000 unnumbered pieces worldwide. It is officially priced at $1,350.00.
