Timex Expands Its Waterbury Lineup with the New Pan Am Automatic GMT

Timex, in collaboration with Pan Am, has released the Waterbury Automatic GMT (ref. TW2Y94300X6). Unlike previous quartz-driven offerings in the Pan Am collection, this model utilizes a mechanical automatic movement and introduces a dual-time display to track multiple time zones. The launch is currently limited to the Indian market.

The watch is constructed with a brushed stainless steel case measuring 41.5mm in diameter and 13.5mm in height. An anti-reflective, double-domed K1 mineral crystal protects the dial. The exterior features a dual-tone black and blue bidirectional rotating bezel and an oversized crown bearing the Pan Am logo. The reverse side includes an exhibition caseback that exposes the internal mechanics, also printed with the airline's emblem.

Powering the watch is a mechanical automatic movement (the Timex M10V caliber) equipped with a GMT module. This self-winding mechanism operates at a frequency of 21,600 beats per hour (bph), contains 24 jewels, and supports hacking. It provides a power reserve of approximately 41 hours.

The silver-white dial incorporates luminescent indices and a date complication located at the 3 o'clock position. The Pan Am globe logo is positioned at 9 o'clock. Standard analog hands handle local timekeeping, while a distinct blue and white triangle-tipped GMT hand functions alongside the 24-hour bezel to indicate a second time zone.

The TW2Y94300X6 is fitted with an integrated 20mm stainless steel bracelet. The bracelet is secured by a push-button butterfly clasp and features tool-free adjustable sizing links. Quick-release spring bars are built into the lugs to allow for strap removal without specialized tools.

The watch is currently available in the Indian market, priced at INR 64,995.
