Cuorerosso: Alfa Romeo’s Bold Concept for the Future of Driving

Alfa Romeo has unveiled the Cuorerosso concept car, a dramatic 2+2 coupé that presents the brand’s vision for the future. Designed to combine Italian beauty, sportiness and advanced technology, Cuorerosso is more than a styling exercise. It represents Alfa Romeo’s ambition to create future cars that remain emotionally connected to their drivers.
The concept follows Alfa Romeo’s new design philosophy, “Bellezza Necessaria,” which focuses on removing unnecessary details and allowing essential shapes and functions to stand out. Its sculpted body appears almost like a single piece of liquid metal, with smooth surfaces, a sharp wedge line and the traditional Alfa Romeo Coda Tronca rear. The illuminated Scudetto grille and distinctive lighting give the car a recognisable yet futuristic identity.

Measuring 4.7 metres long, the Cuorerosso combines the elegance of a Gran Turismo with the presence of a supercar. Its aerodynamic design includes a low diffuser and truncated tail, helping it achieve a claimed drag coefficient of 0.28. Flush windows, rear-hinged doors and modern interpretations of Alfa Romeo’s classic telephone-style wheels add to its dramatic character.

The interior is focused entirely on the driver. Inspired by the legendary 33 Stradale, the cabin features four individual seats, a minimalist dashboard and advanced controls that remain discreet until they are needed. The “Cannocchiale Vivente” display can change between immersive and focused modes, reducing information during spirited driving so the driver can concentrate on the road.
Cuorerosso also previews Alfa Romeo’s multi-energy future, with the possibility of fully electric, plug-in hybrid, mild-hybrid and full-hybrid powertrains. The performance-focused version is imagined with a 2.9-litre V6 full-hybrid engine, Q4 all-wheel drive and a carbon-fibre driveshaft. Through Cuorerosso, Alfa Romeo makes it clear that future technology will support, rather than replace, the excitement of driving.
