FIAT has unveiled the new Multiplay concept at the 2026 Paris Motor Show, introducing a fresh idea for family mobility. Measuring 4.45 metres in length, the vehicle combines the spaciousness of an MPV, the rugged character of an SUV and the practicality of a pick-up.

The Multiplay’s most distinctive feature is its innovative “Metamorfosi” C-pillar architecture. A sliding rear module allows the vehicle to switch from a 6+1 family layout into a four-seat pick-up with an open cargo bed. This gives families the flexibility to carry passengers during the week and bicycles, sports equipment or bulky items at the weekend.

Inside, FIAT has focused on making the cabin adaptable to everyday needs. The “Passenger seat” can be used for a child seat, a pet, a small table or extra storage. The front passenger seat can also become a “Sunseat” lounge area when the vehicle is parked, creating a comfortable space for relaxing beneath the panoramic roof.

Practical details extend to the exterior. The rear spoiler can rotate and become an integrated bicycle rack capable of carrying up to two bikes. Large windows, a panoramic roof and bright colours inspired by the Italian summer add to the vehicle’s friendly and spacious character.

The Multiplay is not a preview of a specific production model. Instead, FIAT describes it as a laboratory for exploring future ideas in design, space and versatility. Inspired by the space-efficient Fiat 600 Multipla and the 1998 Multipla, the concept shows how one vehicle could adapt to the changing needs of modern families.
