Mahindra has officially rolled out the much-anticipated 6-seater configuration for its XEV 9S electric SUV. Priced starting at Rs 25.25 lakh (ex-showroom), this new layout trades the middle-row bench for two plush captain seats. The 6-seater option is available exclusively on the higher-end trims, specifically the Pack Two Above, Pack Three, and Pack Three Above, aiming squarely at buyers who want a more premium chauffeur-driven experience.
Inside, the XEV 9S doubles down on the tech and comfort. The cabin is dominated by a futuristic triple-screen setup, featuring a central touchscreen, a digital instrument cluster, and a dedicated passenger-side display. Along with the new middle-row captain seats, passengers get rear AC vents, while the front seats offer ventilation. A panoramic sunroof, automatic climate control, a 360-degree camera, and Level 2 ADAS complete the luxury and safety suite.
Powering the XEV 9S is a rear-wheel-drive electric motor churning out an impressive 282 BHP and 380 Nm of torque. Buyers can choose between three battery packs—59 kWh, 70 kWh, and 79 kWh—with the largest battery boasting a claimed range of up to 679 km on a single charge. Performance isn't compromised either, as Mahindra claims this electric SUV can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 7 seconds, topping out at 202 km/h.
