Ola Electric has launched the S1 Z electric scooter range in India with an introductory starting price of ₹79,999. The range includes a 3.1 kWh variant priced at ₹79,999 and a 5.1 kWh variant priced at ₹99,999. Both models can be reserved for ₹999. The 3.1 kWh version claims an IDC range of 179 km, while the larger-battery model claims up to 301 km.

Both S1 Z variants use LFP battery technology, a 4 kW peak motor, MoveOS 5, and a claimed top speed of 70 kmph. Ola’s official specifications list 0–40 km/h acceleration of 4.6 seconds for the 3.1 kWh model and 4.9 seconds for the 5.1 kWh model. The scooter uses Ola’s indigenous 46160 LFP Bharat Cell, while Ola describes it officially as an India-designed, engineered, and manufactured LFP Cell.

Ola claims its LFP technology is designed to deliver longer battery life and improved thermal stability. The company claims that the battery can last for more than 15 years and remain thermally stable from -30°C to +70°C; these are company claims and may vary with usage and conditions. The S1 Z also reflects Ola’s vertically integrated approach, with the company stating that it has developed the cell, motor, vehicle, software, and other critical components in-house.

MoveOS 5 brings features such as over-the-air updates, GPS and tracking, ride statistics, energy insights, cruise control, reverse mode, predictive maintenance, geo and time-fencing, and Eco and Normal riding modes. The Easy Park function is designed to help riders manoeuvre in tight parking spaces using a simple wrist twist.

Home charging from 0–80% takes approximately 5 hours 42 minutes for the 3.1 kWh variant and 6 hours 16 minutes for the 5.1 kWh model. Both scooters come with a warranty of three years or 40,000 km, whichever comes first. Ola also lists an optional extension of up to eight years or 70,000 km for the applicable battery package.

Deliveries of the 3.1 kWh S1 Z are scheduled to begin in December 2026, while the 5.1 kWh version is expected from March 2027. The scooters will be offered in White, Anthracite, Sky Splash Blue, and Matcha Green.
