SpaceX is changing the game for its Starlink referral program, upgrading its rewards from standard service credits to cold, hard cash. Under the new incentive structure, anyone who brings in a new subscriber using their referral link will receive a $100 direct deposit straight into their preferred bank account.

This strategic shift is a massive win for third-party Starlink installers and independent resellers, particularly those operating in rural and remote regions. By moving away from simple credits applied toward the next month's bill, SpaceX is effectively empowering its existing service network to act as a genuine, professionalized distribution channel. Installers are now highly incentivized to sign up as many new users as possible while they are already up on the roof mounting dishes.

To take advantage of this new perk, users must actively switch their incentive preference from "service credit" to "cash" in their account portal and designate a bank account before sharing their referral link. Currently, this cash payout option is exclusively available to active Residential or Roam plan subscribers based in the United States, but it marks a major step toward speeding up Starlink's mainstream adoption.
