Qualcomm Renews Global Patent License Agreement with Apple

Qualcomm has announced the renewal of its global patent license agreement with Apple. The renewed agreement will take effect on April 1, 2027, continuing the long-standing licensing relationship between the two leading technology companies.
Under the agreement, Apple will continue to have access to Qualcomm’s broad portfolio of patented technologies. These patents support important areas of modern electronics, including wireless communication, mobile connectivity, advanced computing, and other technologies used in connected devices.
John Han, Executive Vice President and General Manager of Qualcomm Technology Licensing, said that Qualcomm was pleased to extend the agreement with Apple. The announcement reflects the continued importance of Qualcomm’s intellectual property and its role in developing technologies that power the global communications industry.
Qualcomm is known for its work in wireless technology, artificial intelligence, high-performance computing, and low-power solutions. Its innovations are used in smartphones, connected devices, automotive systems, and other technology products around the world. Through Qualcomm Technology Licensing, the company licenses its patents to manufacturers and technology businesses.
The companies did not disclose additional financial or commercial details about the renewed agreement. However, the extension provides continuity for both Qualcomm and Apple while highlighting the value of patent licensing in the technology sector. As connected devices continue to evolve, licensing agreements such as this remain an important part of supporting innovation and bringing advanced technologies to consumers.
