Timex Expands the Waterbury Collection with the New Heritage Automatic 39mm

Timex has introduced a new iteration to its Waterbury Heritage collection with the Waterbury Heritage Automatic 39mm (Model: TW2Y94200). This release integrates a mechanical automatic movement and a day-date complication into the existing case architecture.

The watch is built around a round, brushed and polished stainless steel case measuring 39mm in diameter and 14mm in thickness, with a lug-to-lug width of 20mm. The case design incorporates a black stationary top ring, a standard pull crown, and a snap-on exhibition case back. The stainless steel material used is hypoallergenic, tarnish-resistant, and corrosion-resistant.

The dial is constructed from black enamel and features hands and hour markers treated with luminant in-fill for low-light visibility. A dual day and date display is positioned at the 3 o'clock mark. The dial is protected by a double-domed K1 mineral glass crystal equipped with an anti-reflective coating.

Internally, the timepiece is powered by a self-winding Miyota 8205 mechanical automatic movement. This hybrid caliber operates without a battery, relying instead on the kinetic motion of the wearer's wrist to power the mainspring. The mechanism is visible through the rear exhibition window.

For the bracelet, Timex equips this model with a brushed and polished two-tone stainless steel band. The bracelet features quick-release spring bars for tool-free attachment, self-adjustable removable links for manual resizing, and is secured by a butterfly deployant clasp. The watch carries a water resistance rating of 50 meters (5 ATM / 164 ft), meaning it can withstand splashes and short swims but is not rated for diving.
