Timex Introduces the Atelier GMT Première M1a in a New 38mm Size

Timex has introduced the new Atelier GMT Première M1a, bringing a more compact 38mm case to its architectural watch collection. This release maintains the core design language of the series while adjusting the proportions for a smaller wrist footprint.

The watch is built around a 38mm sculpted stainless-steel case featuring a skeletonized architecture. It includes an IP gold-plated middle case and a matching IP gold-plated stainless-steel screw-down crown. The dial is protected by a double-curved sapphire crystal with a triple-layer anti-reflective coating to minimize visual distortion.

Powering the watch is the Swiss-made Landeron 24 GMT automatic movement. It operates at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour (vph) and utilizes 28 jewels. The movement provides a 40-hour power reserve and is rated for an accuracy of +10 to -15 seconds per day.

The dial features a black enamel surface paired with a black-and-green 24-hour ring. This two-tone ring is designed to distinguish between day and night hours for dual time tracking.

The collection offers two attachment options. The stainless-steel bracelet model (TW6A07200) comes with a custom-designed butterfly deployant buckle and self-adjustable links. The NBR (Nitrile Butadiene Rubber) synthetic rubber strap variant (TW6A07300) features a custom deployant clasp and is shaped to sit flush against the case. Both options utilize quick-release spring bars for tool-free strap changes.

The stainless-steel bracelet variant is priced at $1,450.00, while the NBR synthetic rubber strap model is priced at $1,350.00.
