Timex has officially launched the Deepwater Meridian 200 HEV Automatic, expanding its Deepwater collection with a dive-focused mechanical model. The new release incorporates a helium escape valve and is engineered for a 200-meter water resistance rating.

The Deepwater Meridian 200 HEV is built around a 44mm stainless steel case. The case architecture includes a screw-down crown surrounded by a crown protector, a screw-on case back, and an automatic helium escape valve located at the 10 o'clock position. This valve functions to release built-up helium gas during decompression. For tracking elapsed time, the watch utilizes a unidirectional ratcheting top ring fitted with a ceramic inlay.

Inside the case, the watch is powered by a Miyota 8215 21-jewel Japanese automatic movement. This self-winding caliber relies on the wearer's wrist motion for power and stores up to 40 hours of energy reserve. The dial is protected by an anti-reflective sapphire crystal, while the hands and hour markers are treated with Super-LumiNova in-fill to provide visibility in low-light environments.

The collection debuts with two distinct variants. The first model (TW3A01700) features a metallic blue dial with vertical brushing, a blue ceramic bezel inlay, and is paired with a black HNBR synthetic rubber strap. The HNBR material is used for its specific resistance to water, heat, corrosion, and UV rays. The second model (TW3A01600) features a silver-white dial with vertical brushing, a black ceramic bezel inlay, and is paired with a tarnish-resistant stainless-steel bracelet. Both attachment types are equipped with quick-release spring bars for tool-free removal.
