Volvo EX90 Launched in India at ₹1.26 Crore with a Premium 6-Seat Layout

Volvo has launched its flagship electric SUV, the EX90, in India at an introductory price of ₹1.26 crore (ex-showroom). Positioned above the XC90 in Volvo’s lineup, the EX90 combines Scandinavian design, advanced technology and electric performance in a spacious six-seat luxury SUV.

The India-spec Volvo EX90 comes with a 106kWh battery pack and a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system. It produces 456hp and 670Nm, allowing the SUV to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.5 seconds. Volvo claims a WLTP range of up to 625km, while DC fast charging can take the battery from 10 to 80 percent in around 22 minutes under suitable conditions.

Inside, the EX90 focuses on comfort and premium craftsmanship. It features second-row captain’s chairs, a large panoramic sunroof, four-zone climate control and a minimalist dashboard dominated by a 14.5-inch Google-based touchscreen. Other highlights include a 25-speaker Bowers & Wilkins sound system, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 360-degree camera, digital key and an advanced driver-assistance system.

The SUV also carries Volvo’s strong reputation for safety. The EX90 uses a combination of sensors, cameras and LiDAR technology to monitor its surroundings and support the driver. Its clean exterior design includes pixel-style LED headlights, discreet sensor integration and large alloy wheels, giving it a modern appearance without losing Volvo’s understated character.
As part of its introductory offer, Volvo is providing an 11kW home charger, a three-year service package and an assured buyback scheme for bookings made before December 31, 2026. With its long driving range, premium cabin and lower price than some of its key luxury electric rivals, the EX90 could become an important model for Volvo in India’s growing electric vehicle market.
