As the mandate for E20 fuel (a 20% ethanol blend) rolls out across India, Bajaj Auto has officially confirmed that all its motorcycles manufactured over the last 10 years are fully compatible with the new fuel. Thanks to extensive R&D efforts, this applies to their entire popular lineup, including the Pulsar, Dominar, and Avenger series. Additionally, KTM and Triumph bikes produced by the manufacturer during this timeframe are also fully E20 compliant, requiring no new components or retrofitting.
To put riders at ease, Bajaj assured customers that existing warranties will remain completely valid when using E20 fuel. While the company did note the possibility of a marginal dip in fuel efficiency, they emphasized that everyday variables—like riding style, tire pressure, and heavy traffic—actually have a much greater impact on a bike's mileage than the transition to the new fuel blend.
Backing up their claims with real-world data, Bajaj pointed to its export market in Brazil. The company has been shipping two-wheelers with identical technology to Brazil since 2022, where E27 (a higher 27% ethanol blend) is the standard fuel. With zero fuel-compatibility complaints reported from the Brazilian market to date, Bajaj is confident that Indian riders will experience a seamless transition to E20.
