Hero MotoCorp is raising the bar for everyday electric mobility with the launch of the new Vida VX2 Plus, now equipped with a massive 4.4 kWh battery. Priced at Rs 1.44 lakh (ex-showroom), this new top-tier variant sits directly above the existing 3.4 kWh model. It is purpose-built for riders who want to eliminate range anxiety without sacrificing speed, maintaining the sleek design of the VX2 lineup while packing a much bigger punch internally.
The biggest draw of this new variant is its impressive 187 km IDC-certified range, a significant jump made possible by two removable 2.2 kWh battery packs. While it utilizes the same 6 kW (8.04 bhp) electric motor that produces 26 Nm of torque, the larger battery allows the scooter to achieve a newly upgraded top speed of 90 kmph. Riders can easily tailor their commute using the standard Eco, Ride, and Sport modes, alongside a dedicated Boost function for quick overtakes in heavy traffic.
When it's time to plug in, the VX2 Plus offers excellent flexibility. Using the new standard 1 kW portable charger, the battery reaches 80 percent in about 3 hours and 17 minutes. For those in a hurry, it also supports DC fast charging, which can replenish the battery from 0 to 80 percent in just 65 minutes.
Beyond the battery and motor, Hero has smartly retained all the premium technology that makes the VX2 series so popular. The scooter comes fully loaded with a crisp 4.3-inch TFT display, seamless smartphone connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, and over-the-air (OTA) software updates, ensuring the digital experience stays as fresh as the ride itself.
