Honda ADV 160 Launched in India at ₹1.70 Lakh: Price, Specs & Features

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India has officially shaken up the premium two-wheeler segment with the launch of the ADV 160. Positioned as a rugged, adventure-styled maxi-scooter, it brings a fresh, aggressive aesthetic to Indian roads that stands out from conventional commuter scooters. Beyond its striking styling, the ADV 160 holds a major technological milestone: it is India's first E85 flex-fuel compliant scooter, marking a significant step forward in Honda's alternative fuel strategy.

At the heart of the ADV 160 is a potent 156.9cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. It delivers an impressive 16.3 PS of power and 14.9 Nm of peak torque, making it one of the punchiest scooters in its class. Power is sent to the rear wheel via a smooth CVT gearbox, and it features an idle stop-start system to maximize fuel efficiency during city commutes. Thanks to its flex-fuel capabilities, the scooter can seamlessly run on ethanol-blended petrol up to E85, offering great future-proofing as fuel networks evolve.

In terms of equipment, Honda hasn't held back. The scooter is packed with premium modern features, headlined by a new 5-inch color TFT display equipped with Honda RoadSync for smartphone connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation. Rider safety and convenience are elevated with Honda Selectable Torque Control (traction control), ABS, a smart keyless system, and a handy USB-C charging port. It also boasts a massive 27-litre under-seat storage compartment that can comfortably swallow a full-face helmet. The scooter rides on a 14-inch front and 13-inch rear wheel wrapped in block-pattern dual-purpose tires, giving it the chops to handle rough patches with ease.

Priced at ₹1.70 lakh (ex-showroom), the Honda ADV 160 sits firmly at the premium end of the scooter market. While it carries a higher price tag than rivals like the Yamaha Aerox 155 and the Hero Xoom 160, its extensive feature list, exclusive flex-fuel readiness, and commanding presence make a strong case for the premium.
