Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) has officially launched the highly anticipated Rebel 300, breathing fresh life into the entry-level cruiser segment. Boasting a distinctive bobber-inspired stance, the motorcycle features a teardrop fuel tank, a low-slung seat, and a stealthy overall vibe. Designed to take on established rivals in the sub-500cc lifestyle segment, this launch is a pivotal part of Honda’s aggressive 10-product portfolio expansion in India for 2026.
Thanks to heavy localization, Honda has managed to price the Rebel 300 quite aggressively. The standard variant kicks off at Rs 2.22 lakh (ex-showroom). However, the true showstopper is the introduction of Honda’s much-talked-about E-Clutch variant, priced at Rs 2.62 lakh (ex-showroom). This Rs 40,000 premium makes it the most affordable E-Clutch-equipped motorcycle in India, allowing riders to start, stop, and shift gears without ever pulling the clutch lever—a massive relief for those tackling dense urban stop-and-go traffic.
At its heart, the Rebel 300 is powered by a refined 286cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine paired with a 6-speed gearbox, producing around 30 bhp and 27.5 Nm of torque. Honda hasn't compromised on modern touches either; the bike comes fully equipped with a circular TFT console offering smartphone connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, and call/SMS alerts. On the safety front, you get dual-channel ABS and Honda Selectable Torque Control (traction control) as standard.
Bookings are currently open for a token amount of Rs 5,000 via Honda's official website and exclusive BigWing dealerships across the country. Deliveries are slated to begin from mid-October 2026, perfectly timed for the festive season.
